Palmbrook Golf Club (“Palmbrook,” “we,” “us” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit our website (the “Site”), book a tee time, register for an event or league, buy products, or contact us, and how we use and protect that information.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Inquiries: your name, email address, phone number and the content of your message when you contact us about tee times, memberships, golf outings, tournaments, private events, banquets or dining.
- Tee time and golf shop bookings: when you book a tee time or make a purchase online, you provide details like your name, email, phone number, number of players and payment information. These bookings and purchases are processed through our online tee time booking provider, Sagacity Golf (see “Third-party services” below).
- Events, outings and leagues: your name, contact details and event details when you register for or inquire about events, golf outings, tournaments, lessons or leagues, including Spark Golf leagues.
- Memberships: information you provide when you ask about or apply for a golf or social membership.
- Communications: any information you share when you call, email or message us.
Information collected automatically
- Usage and device data: pages you visit, links you click, the referring website, approximate location (city or region), browser type, device type and IP address.
- Cookies and similar technologies: small files stored by your browser that help the Site work, remember your preferences, and help us understand how visitors use the Site.
How we use your information
- To process and confirm tee times, event and league registrations, memberships, golf card purchases and other transactions.
- To respond to your questions and requests, including outing, banquet and event inquiries.
- To send you booking confirmations, reminders and service-related messages.
- To send you news, specials and promotions if you have opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any marketing email.
- To operate, maintain, secure and improve the Site, including preventing spam and fraud.
- To understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve our content and services.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
We do not sell your personal information.
How we share information
We share information only as described here:
- Service providers who help us run the Site and our business, such as website hosting, online tee time booking, payment processing, restaurant ordering, email delivery and analytics. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
- Golf course management and affiliated courses: Palmbrook is part of a group of courses that participate in the Swing First Golf Card program. Information related to golf card purchases and use may be shared within that program to provide card benefits.
- League partners: when you join a Spark Golf league, your registration is handled by Spark Golf under its own terms and privacy policy.
- Legal and safety reasons: when required by law, or to protect the rights, property or safety of Palmbrook, our guests or others.
- Business transfers: if the club or its operations are sold or transferred, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
Third-party services
Some features of the Site are provided by third parties that have their own privacy policies. These include:
- Online tee time and golf shop booking. When you book online, you are using Sagacity Golf’s booking platform, and your payment information is handled by Sagacity Golf and its payment processors. Sagacity Golf’s own privacy policy applies to information you provide through its platform. We do not store full payment card numbers.
- Restaurant menus and ordering (Toast) for The Vista Bar & Grill.
- League registration (Spark Golf) for Spark Golf leagues played at Palmbrook.
- Analytics tools that measure Site traffic and usage, such as Google Analytics. You can opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- Social media and app stores: links to our social media pages and to download the Swing First Golf app.
We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party websites or services. Please review their policies before providing information to them.
Cookies and your choices
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. If you block cookies, some parts of the Site, such as online booking, may not work properly. Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” setting; because there is no common standard for these signals, the Site does not currently respond to them.
Email and text messages
If you opt in to marketing emails, you can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us. If you receive text messages from us, you can reply STOP to opt out. We may still send you transactional messages about your bookings or purchases.
Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, such as completing transactions, keeping business and tax records, resolving disputes and meeting legal requirements.
Data security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections on the Site. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights
You may ask us to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, or to stop sending you marketing messages. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws. To make a request, contact us using the information below. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
Children’s privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the Site. Junior programs are registered by a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date above. Your continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
